Receiving your aligners. Your first set of aligners is delivered. We walk you through wear, hygiene, and what to expect from the first few days.

Switching trays. You exchange aligners every 1 to 2 weeks at home. Some cases require attachments, which are small tooth-colored shapes bonded to specific teeth to help aligners grip and move them precisely.

Check-ins. Routine check-ins happen every 6 to 10 weeks. These appointments are short and confirm that treatment is progressing as planned.

Treatment length. Most Invisalign treatments complete within 6 to 18 months, depending on case complexity. Comprehensive cases may take longer.

Retention. Retainers maintain your new alignment for the long term. Without retention, teeth gradually drift back toward their original position.
