She holds four patents for orthodontic procedure products and works directly with Dentsply and Reliance Orthodontics on the development and refinement of clinical tools used by orthodontists worldwide.

Dr. Martin is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Iowa, where she completed her orthodontic residency. She lectures internationally on advanced orthodontic technology and procedures, and her work has been published in the peer-reviewed American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

A teaching role and a research role inform the practice in the same way.
